Hi, I’m Leandra — mama of 2 and the founder of Stent Schoolhouse!

The old schoolhouse on Stent Cut Off was one of those places I couldn't help but daydream about. Time and time again, as I passed by on our usual nap-time drives, I found myself imagining the possibilities for the space. It may have been run-down and forgotten, but I could see the potential for something beautiful, a place filled with life, connection, and community.

I had just left my job to stay home with my boys, embracing a new season of motherhood while figuring out what was next for me. Then, somewhere along my usual nap-time drives, something shifted and couldn't shake the feeling that it was meant to become something special.

As a local mama, I had seen firsthand how much families need connection, support, and a place to belong. I dreamed of creating a space where parents and children could grow together, where families could find their village, and where no one had to feel like they were navigating parenthood alone.

But I also wanted it to be more than just a place to attend classes or meet other parents. I envisioned a space where parents could work alongside their little ones, share their talents, teach a class, host a workshop, build a business, or simply rent a space when they needed somewhere to bring an idea to life. A place that gave families the flexibility and opportunity to create something of their own while staying connected to their children and community.

And so, the dream of our community center was born: a place to bring the old schoolhouse back to life while creating something meaningful for the families who call this community home.

Today, our space is growing into exactly what I hoped it could be: a place for connection, creativity, learning, and community. From weekly classes, playgroups, and meetups to workshops, celebrations, and opportunities for local parents and professionals to share what they love, there's room for everyone and their dreams to be part of something special.
